Pabst Blue Ribbon
In 2020 I participated in Pabst Blue Ribbon’s annual Art Can Contest inviting artists to reimagine Pabst’s classic beer can design.
In my conceptualization, various methods of transportation are caught up in the tentacles of a “krakederm”--a half elephant, half kraken of my own invention. I was inspired by the spirit of the brand, which is working class yet surprising and hard to pigeon hole. Stylistically, I drew from traditional ink print to lend a sense of timeless Americana to a decisively modern design concept.
