Mermay 2020
Each year the grassroots creative challenge known as “MerMay” invites artists around the world to creatively respond to a mermaid-related prompt each day in May. I use the opportunity to stretch myself creatively and keep my skills sharp for client work.
In 2020, I challenged myself to depict mermaids from around the world in a myriad of illustration styles, drawing from the children’s books I grew up loving to see if I could replicate each of their styles with new subject matter.
